THE KILIMANJARO CHARITY TREK

• 16 Days in Kenya, 3-4 days in Mombasa (Mtwapa with the kids in Kenya charity) then off to Tanzania for the climb then finish off back in Mombasa for the last 4-6 days. £2250. The time your in Mombasa its accommodation only, (May even go on Safari)

You sort out your flights with our booking ref number, The cost of the flights are around £600- £700 this is included in the price, If the cost of the flight is more then £700 then this cost is to be paid by you.
• Snows of Mt. Kilimanjaro – Marangu Trail
• Nearly everybody would like to experience the euphoria of climbing
Africa’s highest peak Mt. Kilimanjaro (5895m) one f the chief attraction of this snow capped spectacular mountain that no previous mountaining experience is required. You have to be physically fit make the ascent of the mountain, which is exhibiting and unforgettable.
Day 1 ……Leaving Mombasa… 4am and arrive at the boarder of Tanzania
around 9am, change busses then onto Kilimanjaro around 11am,spending the day and night ready for the climb next day.
Day 2 ……Begin climb. You will climb up to Mandara Hut (2742m) near a volcanic fossil. You will arrive at the hut in time for lunch and rest the whole afternoon. Overnight at Mandara Hut.
Day 3 ……Today’s goal is Harombo Hut (3700m) the route takes you through heavy forest and then cross open savannah terrain. The giant Lobelias begin to appear at 3350mts. Overnight at Horombo Hut.
Day 4 ……Continue you ascent to the saddle (4750m) between Mawenzi (5180m). On your right and its Kibo on your left. Walk along saddle for 5kms, but because of the attitude, the temperature is quiet low and the walk is made at a slow pace. The night is spent at Kibo Hut.
Day 5 ……Rise early by about 0200hrs start the final ascent to Gilman’s 5685m at the rim of the crater. You reach Gilman’s to witness the spectacular and unforgettable rise on the sun over Mawenzi. After signing the book you can proceed to Uhnru Peak 5895m if your stamina survives.
Return to Horombo for night.
Day 6 ……This is the last day of the climb and you will return to Marangu or Kibo Hotel or Leave for Mombasa, TBC. Relax back in Mombasa after your memorable achievement.

What is a Tandem Skydive?
A Tandem Skydive is an amazing experience which allows you to jump out of a plane securely attached to a very experienced Skydiving Instructor.
After a through briefing lasting about 30 minutes the jump is made from c.10, 000 feet and includes a freefall of 30-40 seconds before your instructor opens your parachute. You will be given an opportunity to steer however the instructor remains in control at all times.

How do I book?
A £75 non-refundable deposit is required to the charity ASAP . On the morning of the jump GOSKYDIVE require the balance for the jump on the day, for your flight ticket which is payable to GOSKYDIVE making a total of £380 (weekend).
Can I bring Spectators?
The airfield is open to the public and there is a full time canteen on site. Spectators are welcome but there are only limited facilities for babies and young children. The parachute landing area is off limits to members of the public. Please bear in mind that there can be a lot of waiting around on the day.
